Attorney Dana Phillips received a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Library Services with a Concentration on Law Librarianship from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. During both undergraduate and graduate studies she worked as a Docket Technician for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia where she aided Assistant U.S. Attorneys in all stages of litigation and trial preparation. She also interned with Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in her final semester of graduate school. Attorney Phillips received her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University McKinney School of Law where she was elected President of the Student Bar Association. She was also a member of the National Security Moot Court Team and the Client Counseling Board.

Attorney Phillips primarily practices in the area of personal injury litigation handling claims from auto and semi-tractor accidents to wrongful death incidents. She also practices in criminal law with extensive focus on expungements of criminal records. Ms. Phillips has successfully obtained expungements for clients in Marion, Hamilton and Hancock Counties. She works diligently to help clients get drivers licenses reinstated. Additionally, Attorney Phillips practices in probate and estate law to include living and general wills and guardianships, family law including child support/custody issues and defense of foreclosure actions. Ms. Phillips has years of bench and jury trial experience she uses to zealously advocate for her clients.

Prior to joining Lee Cossell & Feagley, LLP, Attorney Phillips was a Deputy Prosecutor for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office where she prosecuted cases in the Misdemeanor and Juvenile Divisions. She was a Staff Attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services focusing on drafting state contracts and leases, inter-agency contracts and child support appeal hearings. Attorney Phillips also served as an interim administrative law judge overseeing cases of child abuse and neglect in southern Indiana.

Attorney Phillips is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts of Indiana and the Federal Bar of the Northern District of Illinois. She is currently a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Marion County Bar Association where she served as President from 2010 – 2011 and Board Member of the Marion County Bar Association. For two years she served as a member of the Diversity Subcommittee of the Indiana State Bar Association. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter and a volunteer for Reach for Youth, Inc.’s Teen Court Program. Attorney Phillips is a regular host of the popular radio talk show “Legally Speaking” on AM1310 The Light.
